How do I know if I need to visit the vet after hours?
This can be a difficult decision to make, as sometimes small changes in your pets behaviour can indicate a serious medical condition. Some of the most common treatment we provide in our emergency service is:
- Pets injured in accidents with vehicles
- Pets that have eaten chocolate
- Pets that have eaten poisons like snail pellets or rat bait
- Snake bites
- Injuries from fights with other animals
Simply call your local hospitals number and discuss your pet’s symptoms with one of our veterinary health professionals to decide if it is best to come in or wait until the morning.
