Berry, Amanda

Amanda Berry is at reception and veterinary nursing at East Mornington Veterinary Hospital.

Amanda joins our team at East Mornington on the recommendation of her friend and former co-worker Lauri from our Rye Beach Clinic. Amanda has a customer service focus and we are sure she will be able to help our clients get good advice and great care. Amanda started veterinary nursing at Karingal Vet Hospital where she worked for just over two years. While there she completed her Certificate II in animal studies and started her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing. She will be completing her studies while working with us.

Amanda has first-hand experience with advanced surgical procedures and the complicated job of post-operative care. Her border collie Digger, who already only had three legs, has had an artificial hip replacement with the specialist surgeon Dr Chris Preston. Amanda also shares her life with Gyspy the border collie cross.

She loves food, especially pasta and chicken parmigiana, and has dreams of travelling in Europe.

Cadbury is the Dromana clinic cat

Cabury is the Dromana Veterinary Hospital clinic cat.

Cadbury was initally a stray cat from the community animal shelter who came to enter our Cat Adoption Program. It wasn't long, however, before she won our hearts and became our resident clinic cat. She is a 10-year-old Siamese who loves nothing more than a good cuddle, but watch out if you stop patting her as she may give you a quick tap to keep going. She has a very interesting meow, so when you meet her, be sure to get her talking.

Carroll, Catherine

Catherine Carroll started working for Peninsula Vet Care in 2007.

Catherine has completed the SOA in Animal Care, and is in the midst of finishing her Certificate II in Animal Veterinary Nursing. Catherine lives in McCrae with her husband James and two beautiful babies – her two-year-old golden retriever Scully and 18-month old ragdoll Mulder.

Collis, Imogene

I grew up in Sydney and graduated with a Bachelor of veterinary science from the University of Sydney in 1999.

After 1 year of working in a small animal practice in castle Hill I moved to Melbourne in 2001. This was initially only going to be for a year before leaving to travel overseas but I met my husband Mitchell and have been here ever since.

I worked at Karingal vet Hospital for 7 years and briefly at Ringwood vet clinic in between having my 2 sons.

We have 2 sons Owen, 3 years and Callum, 1 year old.

We also have 2 dogs Sydney cattle dog and Melbourne jack russel terrier.

My interest professionally is small animal medicine and I completed a post graduate course internal medicine problem solving in 2005.

When I get the chance I love running. Before having the kids I completed the Canberra marathon and have run most of the major fun runs in Australia. I have a T shirt collection to prove it.

Currently Mitchell and I are building our dream home in mount Martha. The house plans were designed by a company specialise in energy efficient homes so we are doing our bit for global warming.

Debono, Kate

Kate Debono is a long time Peninsula resident. She grew up in Mornington, attending both Mornington primary and secondary schools.

After working as a veterinary surgical nurse at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre, Kate returns to her home town with a wealth of experience. Kate loves learning and hopes to continue to expand her knowledge in order to best help your pets. She is really enjoying working with our team and the pets and clients down at East Mornington. She even says she hopes to see out her days working with us! We look forward to a long and happy working relationship with Kate.

She shares her life outside of work with her two dogs, Tess and Molly, and her horse Jake. She has also adopted a cat, Tommy, through our clinic’s cat adoption program. Her two-legged family is made up of her partner, two stepchildren, Nathan and Emma, and her child Jack. She will be cementing this family together in marriage in February 2010 and we wish her all the best.

We know you will find Kate friendly and helpful. Her commitment to caring for your pets shines through.

Kate has just returned from maternity leave after having a baby boy!
